1. Drink Water
The easiest way to ensure that we stay healthy throughout the day is by drinking water. Most people realize that they are dehydrated when it’s too late. Being dehydrated has landed a lot of people in hospital. It’s important to build a healthy habit of drinking water regularly and consistently, especially if you are constantly moving throughout the day.
2. Invest in a water filter dispenser or jug
Drinking water is important. The water from the tap might be filled with pesticides and too much chlorine. A water filter ensures that there are no unwanted particles and less chlorine in your water. It’s much cheaper than buying bottled water every day. It’s an investment that will save you money and it’s more environmental friendly than buying bottled water. The cost of changing the cartridges is less than the accumulative cost of buying bottled water every day.
3. Use a stainless steel or copper water bottle
Water and plastic don’t mix. The plastic bottled spring water you buy doesn’t expire, but the plastic bottle does. It’s important to ensure that you drink from something that keeps your water cooler and healthier. A plastic water bottle is susceptible to changing temperatures and it decomposes faster. Using stainless steel or copper water bottle is more convenient when you are travelling or going to the gym as it retains the cold water temperature for a long period. There are lots of health benefits to using stainless steel or copper bottles. The older generation has been using copper mugs for good reasons. Kaufmann stainless steel flask bottle is awesome because it keeps cold water cold for up to 24 hours.
4. Exercise regularly
By exercising a minimum of 3 times a week for at least 30 minutes, it will change your overall health. Even with a busy week, it will be manageable to maintain the exercise schedule. High-intensity interval training will increase your heart rate and give you sustainable results throughout the year. If you work from home most days, a maximum of 5 times a week for at least 30 minutes is highly recommended. People were not meant to sit for a long period without any intense activities. Incorporate fun ways to exercise that will keep you going without feeling bored. Most people stop exercising because it’s boring for them.
5. Get adequate sleep
It’s important to get enough sleep so that you can function at your greatest potential. If you are unable to sleep at night, ensure that you are getting enough exposure to the sun during the day. Vitamin D helps to regulate better sleep at night. Even if you are constantly busy, taking a walk during your lunch break or early in the morning is important to ensure that you get exposed to the sun. And you will be able to resolve most sleep disorders when you incorporate physical work and sunshine. Health is the greatest reward we get to enjoy. If you ask anyone who has the greatest wealth but is sick: What do they want? Their number one request is to be healthy and to live. Overexerting our bodies by chasing after riches without taking care of our bodies is the greatest disservice we can do.
