Entrepreneurial Spirit

Entrepreneurial Spirit: Change yields returns
Things that are stumbling blocks are often great opportunities to create, improve or invent something new.
Entrepreneurship is about making things happen by adjusting some components of what already exists. Henry Ford made it possible to have a new engine that would revolutionize the motor industry. He wasn’t the first to recreate the motor industry. And he isn’t the last. Elon Musk is creating a new breed of cars that are operating on autopilot like aeroplanes.
We need to be people who care about creating solutions. That is the only way we will create value. The world’s economy has changed. It became more apparent during 2019 and 2020. And so far, 2021 seems like it will be a challenging time as well.
Society will have to be more effective and productive in making a living. Part of being productive is about being more active in our living spaces. Information is what separates the likes of Warren Buffett from the average investor. It’s about understanding the shortfalls of trading and the long term investments in shares that will potentially yield great returns for decades to come. But for those who understand trading, it’s an opportunity to make money in a short space of time.
At the same time, entrepreneurs are also those individuals who bring social justice, freedom and emancipation from oppressive systems. Social entrepreneurs play a crucial role in a society that seeks to change the landscape of how life was to how it is now. It’s about implementing ideas that are necessary to change how we live.
Our lifestyles will never be the same after the pandemic. There’s a sense of freedom that others have tasted during the lockdown sessions. People are looking to build more sustainable homes that can turn into multi-functional spaces. Working from home is becoming a norm. Some parents entertain the idea of homeschooling their children, even if they might be unqualified to do so themselves. The opportunity of creating new formats of learning material has presented itself.
Others are questioning how people have a schooling system that is ill-equipped to produce skilled labourers. The challenges that we are facing are also presenting opportunities for new applications and innovations. We are also going back to the simplicity of being people who want to be self-sustainable. Even if we face systems that might hinder our freedoms. Censorship has also presented people who know how to play the game of shifting wealth and creating value for unexpected companies. This is just the beginning of a new era.
