The world is always ready to mislead you. It is harder to navigate the world if God is not part of your life. It can be impossible to see if you are led astray when you are winning according to worldly standards.
Success is often derived through accolades. The world sees materialism as a great measure of success. Even though we cannot do without certain things in life, we cannot attribute our worth to what we have or do not have in this world.
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2
The plans of God can be harder to understand or accept. The plans of God confuse those with worldly wisdom. It is painful to accept hard situations in life than it is to accept good times and great opportunities.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9
God knew that, as people, we often question God’s ways. It’s harder to walk through God’s plan when you are struggling to accept circumstances. But acceptance is the realization that you are actually walking in God’s plan when you denounce what the world wants you to believe.
The world can deceive you, it is more important to know how to navigate the world through God’s perspective.
Patience, love, forgiveness, self-control, and all the fruit of the Spirit are challenging when your emotions cannot be stilled by the word of God.
Stillness calms your heart when your emotions are trying to get the best of you. The pressure of this world can lead to zealous ambition that shrouds the voice of God. Ambition without patience can lead to reckless decisions.
It is important to understand that God’s blueprint often looks different from what the world has for you. The life that was well planned since you were seventeen years old can be changed as you experience life.
God’s word is our map when we are unsure of the next step to take. The world can tell you that your goal is to make as much money as possible and be married by a certain age, until God shows you a different plan.
It is okay for people to judge you in the process of figuring things out for yourself. It’s not what people say about you that matters, but it is all about how God sees you.

“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:4
Following the world’s standards can often be misleading and out of order with God’s plans for your life. God calls us to love what He loves and hate what He hates.
The system of the world is often in conflict with God’s will. Directions about your life should not be governed or determined by the world’s institutions. But it should be directed by what God has placed in your soul.
Sometimes you are called to wait on the Lord, while the world tells you to move in a direction that God never intended.
Creative direction, investment plans, and career goals should be motivated by the perfect will of God. The person you choose to marry should be God’s choice and not the great couple in the eyes of the world.
